Giulia Guidotti is a PhD candidate at the “Asia, Africa, Mediterraneo” Department of the University of Naples “L’Orientale”, in co-tutorship with the “Universidad de Cádiz” (Spain). She obtained her BA degree at “Sapienza” University of Rome and then obtained her MA degree in “Oriental Languages and Civilizations” at “L’Orientale”. Her research interests include Middle Arabic, the Arabic tradition of the Alexander Romance, and Andalusi Arabic. She is currently working at the linguistic and philological study of some Andalusi and Maghrebi manuscripts about the legendary figure of Alexander the Great as an Islamic prophet.
